The Crop Protection Action Coalition for Trade is a special USDBC project dedicated to establishing science-based MRLs with reasonable tolerances that will not disrupt trade. This project began in 2020 with support from USDA/FAS. The primary focus right now is preventing the European Farm to Fork program from creating zero or unreasonable pesticide tolerances and working with Mexican counterparts to do the same. CPACT is concerned about Mexico due to the government’s desire to ban glyphosate, setting a very negative precedent. CPACT is led by USDBC and implemented by the North Hill Group backed by a coalition of other like-minded partners including USDPLC, Almond Board of California, USA Rice, NASDA, and the Minor Use Foundation.
