Food Aid Showcase Scheduled For ​May 2 In Washington DC

Years ago the food aid community would gather annually in Kansas City to network, connect, and talk about the latest trends and developments. This event was discontinued and has left a void in terms of an occasion that brings together all key food aid stakeholders including shipping, the agricultural community, and NGOs. In attempt to create an opportunity for the stakeholders to get together, the US agricultural food aid community and global NGO Counterpart will sponsor the Food Aid Showcase to be held inside USDA’s Whitten building. USDBC, along with other commodity groups will participate with a table display and will network with the full food aid community to discuss all of the ways dry beans provide critical nutrition for those suffering from food insecurity and hunger.
