• Tim McGreevey, CEO, USA Pulses and Steve Savell, Director for External Affairs and Sustainabiity, Bush Bros. Will talk about their work on the Coalition for the Advancement of Pulses (CAP), an advocacy campaign to increase the recommended pulse consumption in the U.S. Dietary Guidelines to three cups a day.
• Dr. Gulden Yilmaz, Director Healthy and Safe Food Services, Wageningen University, The Netherlands, will discuss the Netherland’s Master Plan, a legislative proposal to increase consumption of pulse consumption in six years in an effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
• Dr. Katie Wilson, Executive Director, Urban School Food Alliance, will talk about her work to address the unique needs of the nation’s largest school districts. This includes best practices, development of procurement standards, and advocacy for the health and wellness of students.
