Michigan Bean Grower Participates in Farm Bill Hearing

USDBC Board Member and Michigan Bean Commission grower Greg Ackerman testified to the U.S. Senate Committee Agriculture at the invitation of Senator Tina Smith (D-MN) as part of ongoing Farm Bill Hearings on Title I Commodity Programs. Ackerman discussed several items of critical importance to the U.S. dry bean industry including crop insurance, trade, and funding for MAP/FMD agricultural trade programs.
