USDBC receives the majority of its global export development funding through USDA/Foreign Agricultural Service’s (FAS) Market Access Program (MAP). USDBC applies for MAP funding every year through a competitive grant process and in recent history has received, around US 1.1 million dollars in core funding annually. For the 2022 grant year, as a result of strategy improvements, a streamlined focus, and enhanced benchmarks, USDA received an almost 30% increase in funding in core MAP funds. This is before the addition of Global Broad-Based Initiative (GBI) funding, which is also MAP but runs on a separate funding track. Last year USDBC received an additional $400,000 in GBI funding. We are grateful to FAS for their ongoing support of our global strategy and look forward to another successful year of our long-standing public/private partnership. With FAS’ support, we have continued to expand our global footprint and remain competitive against numerous global challenges by innovating, identifying new markets, and new market segments within existing markets. We look forward to 2022 and beyond.
