Join Us for the Official Launch of the Pulses for Health Alliance/Alianza Leguminosas
October 4, 2021Earlier this year USDBC received funding for a new project designed to teach and inform key end-users and stakeholders about the health and nutrition qualities of pulses. The Alianza Leguminosas para La Salud is a Global Broad-Based Initiative (GBI) for all pulses including – dry beans, peas, lentils, and garbanzos, funded by USDA/Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) and run out of USDBC Mexico. Over the last months, the groundwork has been established and key partnerships put in place to begin an informational campaign that will teach health professionals, food service, food manufacturers, supply chain professionals among others about the unique health and nutritional properties of pulses, in an effort to increase consumption in Mexico and across Latin America.
