On July 22, Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack named Daniel Whitley as the new Administrator of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS).
Whitley has served as the agency’s Acting Administrator since December 2020. Before that, he led the FAS trade policy and market analysis teams as Associate Administrator. Whitley is a longtime friend of the agricultural cooperator community having served in various leadership positions in FAS for the last 20 years. We are thrilled to have someone with Mr. Whitley’s expertise and experience leading FAS. We congratulate Mr. Whitley on his appointment and look forward to his leadership in this time of unique challenge and opportunity for U.S. agricultural trade.
