US Dry Bean Council is a proud sponsor of The Culinary Institute of America’s 2021 Worlds of Flavor International Conference & Festival
June 3, 2021We are thrilled to announce our participation in the Culinary Institute of America’s (CIA) flagship global chef event, Worlds of Flavor (WOF) as a Gold Sponsor. The event takes place November 3 – 5, 2021 at the CIA’s Copia Campus, Napa Valley. WOF is known as the most influential professional U.S. forum on world cuisines, food cultures, and flavor trends. This event has become a “must attend” for leading chefs, corporate menu decision-makers, foodservice management executives, suppliers, and media. WOF is attended by senior-level chefs, independent and chain restaurant operators, university and contract foodservice managers, hotel food & beverage directors, leading foodservice manufacturers and marketing experts, supermarket foodservice operators, educators, world cuisine experts, and other influential foodservice industry professionals from the U.S. and around the world. According to CIA, this year’s event will focus on how the most innovative chefs in Latin America “ find new ways to work with traditional ingredients, and how that informs menus in the U.S. … to understand what will drive the future flavors of the Americas.”
USDBC’s participation at WOF will include a teaching seminar showing participants how to make innovative dishes with dry beans and dry bean ingredients, sharing and discussing new bean ingredient dishes with attendees at the Flavor Discovery event, and continuing to introduce new flavors with beans during the marketplace expos. We will be working with Chef Brad Barnes at CIA’s Consulting Division on the specifics of this event including specific bean ingredients and dishes and sharing more information over the next months. The work to get ready for this event will be channeled through USDBC’s Bean Innovation Committee. Additionally, we will be sending a small delegation to this event. More details to come as we get ready for WOF 21!!
