Social Media Campaigns Going Strong Worldwide

USDBC global programs are continuing to rely heavily on social media and digital campaigns moving into the second year of primarily virtual interaction, due to ongoing Covid concerns around the world. While we are hoping some of our offices can resume trade servicing in the near future, no global trade events are scheduled until ANUGA in Cologne, Germany in October 2021.
In the meantime, we continue to enhance our digital presence. We have just launched our 21-day bean challenge throughout Central America and the Dominican Republic with our Habito Habichuela on our Todo con Frijol social media program. We are rebranding a new social media program for Colombia, Peru, and Chile that will soon host a virtual master class with Chef Juanma of El Cielo.
Our LegumeChef program has expanded to numerous countries including the UK late last year and is eyeing a move into the Belgian market. In Southeast Asia we continue to build our social media presence with several campaigns in numerous countries that feature new recipes on Facebook and Instagram including superbeans_sea. We also started 2021 with a new social media campaign in Brazil, US Dry BeansBR ‘Discover American Beans.’ Instagram remains one of the best and most cost-effective ways to reach our target audience and beyond. We are grateful to USDA/FAS for continuing to support these efforts.
