After two years of planning, we are celebrating the successful conclusion of BeanCon21 and already looking to the future with thoughts of our next BeanCon event.

We are grateful to all of the speakers, chefs, buyers, and our own industry members and specialists who presented and offered many unique perspectives on the global state of dry beans. It goes without saying that we are indebted to USDA/FAS for their support, and all of our industry sponsors who allowed us to leverage our funding and take it further to add additional functions and facets to this global virtual event. This included numerous videos and testimonials from master chefs around the world inspired by beans, several high-profile speakers, and loyal global customers who took the time to outline the value proposition of U.S. origin dry beans.
BeanCon21 attracted over 400 global attendees, included over 300 one-to-one business meetings, there were over 3,000 additional connections among participants via the virtual platform. Participants represented over forty different countries. We have sent out a post-event survey to all participants and we hope you will take the time to fill it out and provide feedback that will be very valuable in reviewing the event and planning the next one. Over the next weeks, we will continue to debrief and review the impact of BeanCon21, and while we look forward to the next BeanCon as an in-person event, there are many important lessons and messages learned from this first-ever USDBC global dry bean event. Stay tuned for more….
