USDBC Announces New Bean Focused Partnership With Chef Juan Manuel Barrientos (JuanMa)

This month USDBC will begin a partnership with Colombian Super Chef, JuanMa. JuanMa is a chef, businessman, entrepreneur, lecturer, and peace initiative leader. He owns thirteen restaurants and bars. He is the creator and founder of the ElCielo restaurant chain (Medellín, Bogotá, Miami, and Washington DC), and the El Cielo hotel in Medellin, Colombia.

Part of his restaurant empire includes Kai, serving only vegan cuisine, in Medellin. He has been recognized as the youngest chef in the 50 best in Latin America for three consecutive years and has a tremendous influence with millions of followers on different social media networks. JuanMa is a recent convert to the bean lifestyle. In addition to serving bean dishes in his restaurants, he is known for his innovative preparations featuring magical realism and molecular gastronomy. He has led our Master Chef series in Colombia and he will be one of our keynote speakers at BeanCon21, discussing how beans are part of his lifestyle and his business model.
