USDBC Celebrates Another Successful Reverse Trade Mission
September 19, 2018We recently hosted over 20 buyers from ten different countries as part of our annual reverse trade mission connecting global buyers and with the U.S. dry bean industry. This year’s mission kicked off in Minneapolis with a visit to Faribault Foods Inc. Participants then moved on to visit harvest sites, elevators, and participate in briefings and business meetings in North Dakota, Michigan, and Nebraska. Following a new format, each participant chose to visit two states over a five day period and members in each state hosted two staged visits over the week.

The Full 2018 Trade Mission Before Heading out to visit Bean Growing States
The mission continues to be one of our flagship initiatives, critical to meeting our goal of increasing global dry bean consumption by building long term relationships and partnerships with the global trade. We were very pleased with the high level of interest and participation in this event given a very challenging trade climate. Thanks to all participants, to our hosts in each state, and to USDA/FAS for their continued support of our global export programs.
