  • USDBC is working on several new communications tools for 2017 including the launch of the revamped website, a new card with the supplier directory available through a Q/R code, and a global program evaluation.
  • Some U.S. bean shippers have experienced cargo rejection in Colombia due to the detection of soil.  USDBC is working with U.S. and Colombian government authorities to find a solution.
  • USDBC’s Japan reverse trade mission was moved to February from April this year and has just concluded.  Trip report will be available shortly.
  • USDBC is already making plans for ANUGA 2017 and will once again build a custom booth together with USDPLC.
  • Guatemala has opened up a TRQ for 5,000 MT of black beans from all origins, this could compete directly with the U.S.’s TRQ assigned as part of CAFTA/DR agreement.
  • USDBC participated in CAMFOOD again this year, the major food show for Cambodia, our exports continue to increase.
